These handcrafted glass earrings combine clear borosilicate glass with large black synthetic opals of approximately 12 mm in diameter. The opals are carefully melted into solid glass and worn on high-quality 925 sterling silver ear hooks – a combination of precision, material quality, and timeless design.
The deep black of the opals displays an intense, iridescent play of colors that appears vibrant depending on the light. Combined with the clear glass, a strong contrast is created, making the opals appear to float and giving the earrings an elegant, modern presence.
Each opal is individually embedded in glass – an elaborate process that requires experience and patience. The opals used are of high quality and deliberately form the centerpiece of these earrings.
Handmade Unique Piece
Each pair is created in my studio in Greifenstein (Germany) and handcrafted. Small differences in glass shape and opal structure are part of the artisanal process and make each pair unique.
